Our Story
When two Northerners, Kenny and Louis found ChatGPT, they didn’t just fall in love with AI; they fell in love with working together.
Inspired by the potential AI offered to unlock human creativity and productivity, they spent countless late nights and early mornings talking about nothing else. Whether it was WhatsApp messages at midnight or weekend calls filled with excitement about a new experiment, their shared passion quickly became all-consuming.
Realising that the change wasn’t going to be easy for any organisation, they took themselves away to think about how they could make a difference. And that’s where they created their vision of the future - a world where Humans and Algorithms work hand-in-hand, and AI becomes an everyday tool used three times a day by everyone.

Louis has 30 years of experience in UX and technology, bringing a wealth of expertise to Humans & Algorithms. He founded Code Computerlove in 1999 and joined EssenceMediacom in 2016, where he’s been at the forefront of organisational transformation.

Where we started.
We started in the chaos of global media - two people trying to make AI useful for real humans, not headlines.
At WPP’s EssenceMediacom, we built Sidekick, one of the world’s first AI platforms designed for everyday work, rolled out to 15,000 people across 100+ offices. It transformed how creative, media, and strategy teams worked with intelligence.
Then we built its successor — The Open Media Assistant (OMA) - now powering AI adoption at global scale inside one of the world’s largest marketing groups used by 40,000 people.
Where we’ve been.
We’ve spent the last 3 years at the sharp end of AI adoption - helping the world’s biggest brands embed intelligence safely and at scale, training 40,000 people.
Along the way, we’ve delivered virtual training for up to 4K attendees, in-person AI imagination sessions with up to 200 people and learned the hard truth about AI transformation: AI only works when people love using it.
Now, through Humans & Algorithms, we’ve channeled our experience into a playbook that makes AI adoption work, for every team or business.
